with echoes (filling up the orbit, but damaged)

performance 23.09 19uhr
then 24.09-15.10.22
wiggling back and forth but also around
i notice:
a desire of linking the connections of distance to
skin
a circle or a self-embrace
floating, covering, stretching, wrapping and
hugging,
I feel really lonely and I barely slept because I have
the worst cold
so i wrapped the fabric really close to my skin like
a soft hug;
connecting the disconnected so to prevent energy
from sipping out,
but also because this house these walls are so
cold.
A leak, a leak!, aaaaah it’s leaking- who is leaking?
myself or all of us.
Floaty shirt heavy flesh, so much it divides
the pockets of fat and
muscle in my body in other ways, new ways,
different ways,
ways that have never before been formed
like, hi how are you doing far away,
with echoes filling up the orbit
but damaged

An*dre Neely & Moa Johansson's joint-practice is rooted in a mutual interest for choreography and sculpture, and the politics/poetics of material and space. Their collaboration is sustained through approaching distance as a material, allowing its restrictions to become possibilities that define the form/content/aesthetic the work takes.
An* and Moa have shown earlier stages of their current research digitally with AXISWeb, in video format with Dirty Debuts (at Ballhaus OST, in Berlin), and live with the Cambridge Junction. They were the recipients of Jerwood Arts’ 1:1 FUND for their collaboration, and shortlisted for the Flanders Arts Institute, A Fair New Idea Fund. The development of this research has been further supported by Theatre in the Mill and the Arts Council England.
